Magnetic Stimulation

What to do when your antidepressant or therapy doesn’t work ?

Imagine going to therapy, taking your medications as directed, and following all of your provider's advice - only to find no significant improvement. That’s the reality of people with treatment - resistant depression.

At Horizon Behavioral Medicine, we provide Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy for patients with hard-to-treat depression. Our TMS procedure is operated in a comfortable room, performed by a Board Certified Psychiatrist and TMS certified technicians.

TMS is a non-invasive, safe and easily tolerable form of  treatment. The procedure simply involves lying back in a reclining  chair while electromagnetic pulses are sent to stimulate areas of the brain which regulate mood, cognition and emotions. electromagnetic field. There are no lasting side-effects  and patients are safe to drive and work immediately after the procedure. For optimal results, the recommendation for TMS is 5 days of treatment a week for a course of 6 weeks. Each treatment session usually takes 15-20 minutes.

The cost of TMS Therapy varies by insurance plan. We work with a large number of insurance plans such as Medicaid, Anthem, BCBS, United Health Care, Aetna, Cigna, Health Plan of Nevada, Tricare, etc. If you do not have insurance, or your insurance declines to pay for the treatment, Horizon Behavioral Medicine offers competitive cash-pay rates for qualified potential candidates.

If you reside locally and are interested in being evaluated for outpatient TMS treatment, please complete this form to the best of your ability.

Horizon Behavioral Medicine uses Magstim Horizon Performance TMS System, that offers full theta wave burst capability and is guided by a fully computerized StimGuide Navigation System.

MagStim is FDA cleared for depression treatment and most commercial & government insurance plans cover this procedure for qualified clients.
